this book collects photographs, charcoal drawings, and overpainted images made between 2023 and 2025. all works are in black and white. some of the images have been altered, erased, of reconstructed. the process started with taking things apart - removing, covering and reassembling.
the archive is not meant to be complete. it's a record of what remains while things disappear.

s’alguer, a small hidden fishermen village on the coast north of barcelona, and its surroundings. unlike the crowded beaches nearby, this place felt different—filled with vibrant colors and mostly locals.

(12) fly-over bridge — cherry orchard cemetery study

Dajiaoxi Mountain in Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County, Taiwan

designed by fieldoffice architects, this cemetery in the mountains of jiaoxi is built entirely from raw concrete. the main focus of these photos is the massive fly-over bridge that curves over the steep slope. because of the humid mountain climate, bright orange lichens have started to grow all over the concrete, creating a great contrast between the heavy structure and nature.
Josefine Schulenburg is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at the University of Innsbruck. Before that she has completed a vocational training in Business Management.She gained international experience working with vora arquitectura in Barcelona and operates a freelance practice specializing in creative and visual projects.
